What to Do at
Bear Lake State Park
Inside Bear Lake State Park
Bear Lake is called the Caribbean of the Rockies because of its unique water color, and you can relax and play on the white sand beaches. You can also rent fishing boats, skiing equipment, and camping supplies from park vendors. If you love going scuba diving, search for the location north of the marina where numerous old cars are buried in the water. At the marina, you can get camping supplies, fill your boat up with gas while on the water, and get friendly advice. You won't want to miss the Bonneville Cisco net fishing in January or other fishing opportunities at this park. Parts of this park are groomed in the winter for snowmobilers.
Outside Bear Lake State Park
While most people come to this area to play on Bear Lake, there are a few aspects of the surrounding vicinity that are well worth your time and attention. There are opportunities to go caving, visit history museums, and explore beautiful old churches. There are also great options for dining and shopping in Garden City and Laketown.
