The adobe was built in 1826 in the property that was part of a Spanish land grant deeded to the Juan Jose Dominguez, the patriarch of the Dominguez family. A guided tour of the museum will bring you inside the house where you will be able to see the original furniture while the tour guide explains the significance of the ranch and the house. It is a very enlightening tour, which will open your eyes to the interesting history of Carson and its surrounding cities.
