This year is the 90th Major League Baseball All-Star Game! The Cleveland Indians will host four days of fun activities, culminating in the All-Star game on Tuesday. This is the first time in five years that an American League team is hosting the event. Since 2019 is the 25th anniversary of Progressive Field, it’s the perfect year for a celebration and fun with America’s Favorite Past time!


Friday, July 5: Play Ball Park, the largest indoor/outdoor baseball interactive theme park in the world, opens with over 40 attractions and 600,000 square feet of baseball fun. The Park is at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland and The Malls. It will be open every day from Friday, July 5 through Tuesday, July 9.

Sunday, July 7: SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, featuring top Minor League prospects competing in a nine-inning contest as part of MLB All-Star Sunday.

Monday, July 8: T-Mobile Home Run Derby

Tuesday, July 9: MLB All-Star Game, presented by Mastercard


There are plenty of amenities available to make your day at the ballpark more pleasant! There is a Lost & Found, First Aid stations, and places to buy souvenirs and concessions. There is an area where fans can gather to request autographs before the game. There’s a Family Deck with a playground and interactive exhibits for kids. You can also get a free ID wristband for children with your seat assignment, to help if they get lost. There are also coupons for small sodas for designated drivers. RV camping is a great way to experience a baseball game! You can spend the day at the ballpark, then head back to your campsite just a short ways away, where you have a comfy bed and your own private bathroom!

Here are some campgrounds near Progressive Field:

  • Streetsboro/Cleveland SE KOA - offers 50-amp service, full hookups, WiFi, a pool, fishing, and a dog park.
  • Woodside Lake Park - has full hookups, a dump station, arcade games, fishing, hiking, swimming, volleyball, and a playground with beautiful lake views. 
  • Willow Lake Park - has electric and water hookups, fishing, a pool, and a snack bar.

Maple Lakes - offers full hookups, WiFi, planned events, and beautiful lakeside views.


RV Camping

Whether you own a motorhome or use a rental from RVshare, RV camping is a great way to take yourself out to the ballgame! You’ll be able to watch the game and participate in the events surrounding it, then head back to your own quiet retreat, with food and other comforts of home (and your own bathroom!).


If you decide not to camp, there are plenty of hotels in the area. You can find hotels recommended by the Cleveland Indians here. You can usually find good deals on travel sites like Expedia or Travelocity as well.


From the west via I-90: Use I-90 east toward downtown Cleveland; continue on the Innerbelt (I-90) east to East 9th Street; exit onto East 9th Street heading north to Ballpark area parking.

OR: Use I-90 east toward downtown Cleveland; continue onto I-490 east; take the ramp for I-77 north; take the East 9th/Ontario Street exit; follow signs to either East 9th Street north or Ontario Street north to Ballpark area parking.

From the east via I-90/SR 2 (Cleveland Memorial Shoreway): Take I-90/SR 2 west toward Downtown; exit at East 9th Street; turn left onto East 9th Street and head south to Ballpark area parking.


Parking lots around Progressive Field range in price from $5-$20. You can also park in Ohio City (W. 25 St. and Lorain Ave.) and ride on the Great Lakes Brewing Company shuttle for $1 with purchase there (Monday-Saturday games). Tickets can be purchased online. There are a variety of different options, from individual tickets to fan experiences you can purchase for the weekend!
