In addition to music performances, LIB also features guest speakers, visual and interactive art installations, yoga classes, group meditation, and more. It is one of the largest and most influential transformational festivals and even hosts the biggest live painting event in the United States.

Previous years have seen popular acts such as Flume, Chet Faker, Rüfüs Du Sol, Cashmere Cat, Odesza, and RL Grime perform.

RVING AT THE EVENT

Lightning in a Bottle is very accommodating to RVs and offers two packages, including the option to have power hookups or no hookups. Here are some great tips to keep in mind when RVing at the festival:

  • RV Passes allow the ticket-holder to bring their RV into the campground
  • Long or Short options are sold depending on the total length of the vessel
  • Festival wristbands are not included and a 4-or 5-Day Pass must be purchased for access to the event
  • RV passes are sold per vehicle, not per person
  • The best chance for you and your RVing friends to camp together is to arrive at the same time. That way you dramatically increase your chances of being allocated a spot next to one another (otherwise, it’s on a first-come-first-served basis)
  • Each RV site measures approximately 20’ wide x 40’ deep and features an asphalt ground

WHERE TO STAY

RV Camping

Whether you own your RV or use an RV rental, RVing is the way to go at Lightning in a Bottle. After a long day of music, workshops, and whatever else takes your fancy, you can come back to a comfortable bed, stocked kitchen, and your very own bathroom! Read the RV camping FAQs for more information.

On-Site Camping

The festival also encourages camping on-site in a tent, so you’ll find lots of options available to you. Whether you prefer to camp in, or next to your car, or choose one of the festival’s more luxurious camping options, such as staying at their Boutique Camp, there’s something for everyone. The Boutique Camp offers three packages containing everything from double beds and fresh linens, to complimentary ice and even your own personal AC unit! Reserve your spot or find more information here.

Off-Site Accommodation

If camping simply isn’t your thing, then there are also options to stay in nearby hotels or Airbnbs. While these will mean traveling to and from the event each day, getting away from the crowds may make it worth it for some.

HOW TO GET THERE

Via Car / RV

When driving to the festival from any location in America, it’s recommended that you use the official address for your GPS (2091 New Pleyto Road, Bradley, CA 93426). It has been reported by festival goers in the past that if you enter the recreation area name, you’ll end up almost 2 hours out of the way.

Via Bus

The festival runs a Lightning Bus which picks up festival attendees from three major destinations: Los Angeles (recommended for those flying into LAX), San Diego, and Oakland. Tickets are required, with prices starting at $42 for Los Angeles, $68 for Oakland, and $49 for San Diego. Purchase tickets or find out more here.

Via Plane

If you’re flying in from out of state to attend LIB, it is highly recommended that you choose LAX.  It’s the closest international airport with Lightning Bus routes running to and from on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday & Monday.

PARKING

There is a parking lot for those driving to LIB who do not have a Car Camping Pass. The festival has a Carpool Initiative to keep emissions and traffic levels low. Single occupant vehicles are charged $30 to park in the parking lot, whereas vehicles with one or more passengers (not including the driver) are granted free parking.

TICKETS & PRICING

Tickets are available now online. Pricing tiers will continue to increase as the festival nears, so it’s vital that you purchase your tickets ASAP. Festival passes start at $335 + fees and layaway pricing is also available. Car Camping Passes cost $150 and allow the ticket-holder to camp next to or inside their car. You can also purchase an RV Camping Pass with no hookups for $355-$475 or an RV Camping Pass with power hookup for $550-$725. Please note that a 4-or 5-Day Pass must also be purchased for access to the event.
