The Eldora Dirt Derby invites NASCAR fans to southwestern Ohio to see trucks racing around the dirt track. Launched in 2012, this is one of the only NASCAR events to take place in the Buckeye State every year and the only NASCAR race on a dirt track. Austin Dillon won the inaugural race, which sold out. The day begins with five qualifying events that determine where the racers start and several qualifying laps that put them on the grid for the big race. During the Last Chance race, just 27 of the drivers who started the day hit the track. Fans will find souvenir and food stands set up around the 2020 Eldora Dirt Derby, and many drivers sign autographs and meet with fans in their souvenir haulers, so the entire event is filled with fun activities.
Eldora offers many amenities to help visitors find what they need, including bathrooms with running hot and cold water as well as food vendors who sell both snacks and dishes. Cold Stone Creamery often has a booth that sells ice cream sundaes, too. Near the Middle Gate at Turn 4 is a fully stocked medical tent with health care professionals who can help guests with dehydration or other minor injuries. The track has several handicap-accessible entrances available, and there are ATMs for those who need to make a withdrawal. Several suite rentals are also available.
The Eldora Dirt Derby NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race and related events take place at the Eldora Speedway.
13929 State Route 118
New Weston, OH 45348
To keep fans entertained, the Eldora Speedway will host meet and greet sessions with several prominent racers in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series and some of the newer races to this series. Local news stations such as WHIO will broadcast live from the speedway. Fans can visit some of the booths around the speedway to enter contests and win free prizes.
The Eldora Dirt Derby offers on-site camping for fans to stay close to the action in an RV. This gives you the chance to see track owner and legendary NASCAR racer Tony Stewart working at the track. If you don't have an RV or you want to avoid bringing yours to the track, renting with RVshare is a good option. You can enjoy the comfort of an RV rental and the fun of staying at the track. Some of the amenities you get as a camper include the following:
• Stay Sunday, July 26 through Friday, July 31 for just $59.
• Pick from multiple places to stay, including Lots 1-5, Turn 1 South Lot, Eldora Village and Northside Camping.
• Stop by the Portakleen on-site to fill up your water tanks for a small fee. The Portakleen also lets you empty your tanks for a fee.
• Get clean before or after any of the qualifying heats with the on-site showers. You'll see large signs and bright colors that direct you to the showers, which charge visitors a small fee.
• Enjoy quiet nights when you camp at the track. Though Eldora does allow campers to use generators, it has quiet hours every night from 1:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.
• Purchase your campsite online and have the reservation held at will call. When you arrive at the track, you can pick up your reservation at the box office and then check in at one of the lots.

Whether you're coming to the race in an RV or planning to stay in a hotel, here are some of your options.

Roughly 40 minutes from the track is Arrowhead Campground, which has full hookups and a peaceful environment.
As Eldora is in a small town, there aren't as many hotels close by as there are at other NASCAR tracks and races. The Inn at Versailles is the closest. This boutique hotel is 13 miles from the track and offers clean rooms with Wi-Fi access and a continental breakfast served every morning. You can stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Greenville to enjoy amenities such as a swimming pool, free Wi-Fi and a full hot breakfast. Some of the other nearby hotels for those who don't want to rent or bring an RV include the Quality Inn in Greenville and The Crescent Motel in Minster.

General admission seating is available for $29 a seat. You don't need to pay extra for kids 12 and under, but you will need to pick up a ticket for them.
