As Maryland's cheesiest celebration, the Baltimore Mac and Cheese Festival is presented in a spirit of fun and camaraderie. Expert chefs, food trucks and food vendors will be serving some of the most delicious and interesting macaroni and cheese creations that you can imagine. These meals are served along with a varied selection of craft beers, delicate wines and robust whiskeys and bourbons. You'll find dozens of different macaroni and cheese dishes to stimulate your palette, and the culinary artists will try very hard to impress you because the winner of the "Best Macaroni and Cheese in Baltimore" wins $500. 

You can purchase tickets for entry only and purchase food tickets as you go, or you can buy general admission and VIP tickets that cover the food and beverage samples. During your travels through the Power Plant Live! districts, you'll be entertained by live bands representing all your favorite genres of music. The event is family friendly, and all ages are welcome. However, you have to be 21 or older to enjoy the alcoholic samples. 

ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT

The Baltimore Mac and Cheese Festival takes place over the weekend, with events held on Saturday and Sunday. Each day has over 30 vendors and chefs presenting their best mac and cheese creations to the attendees. The events take place at various locations in the Power Plant Live! districts, and there is live music and entertainment.

LOCATION

Power Plant Live!, which is located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, has been revamped and is now more lively than ever. It is just blocks away from historic Inner Harbor and within walking distance from many popular attractions, such as the Orioles Stadium, Harbor East, the National Aquarium, Royal Farms Arena and many more cultural icons and historical places. 

Power Plant Live! is comprised of a collection of restaurants, bars and other businesses in the Inner Harbor area of downtown Baltimore. This entertainment destination was developed by The Cordish Companies and opened in staged phases in 2001, 2002 and 2003. This entertainment district gained its name from the "Power Plant" building, known as the Pratt Street Power Plant, which is located three blocks south on municipal Pier 4 on East Pratt Street along the Inner Harbor. It is very easy to access Power Plant Live! by using the Subway's Shot Tower/Market Place station.

RVING AT THE EVENT

RV parking will not be available for the festival at Power Plant Live! However, there are multiple RV parks and campgrounds in Greater Baltimore, plus there are several state and county parks nearby. If you don't have an RV of your own, consider renting one through RVshare. There are plenty of sites to see in Baltimore and the surrounding areas, and RVs makes traveling easy. Here are a few places you can park your RV in and around Baltimore.

Bayshore Campgrounds - Since this campground is located on the bay, guests get to see beautiful sunsets every evening. You can fish along the shore and enjoy bird watching, crabbing, kayaking and boating. There is a wildlife refuge close by, and you'll be within easy driving distance to restaurants and shopping outlets. There are 100 RV sites with either 30 or 50 AMPs.

Bar Harbor RV Park and Marina - This is the closest RV park to Baltimore's Inner Harbor and Power Plant Live! — it's about a 30-minute drive away. The campground is next to the beach and has waterfront campsites. There is a flower garden, a playground, a pool, and various boating rentals. There are 70 RV sites with either 30 or 50 AMPs, and there are boat slips and a dock. You can fish from the beach or the pier. Furthermore, guests can enjoy the free Wi-Fi and walk pets in designated areas.

Washington DC Capitol KOA - This KOA offers a great central location for visiting both Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The park is only minutes from Herald Harbor, close to Baltimore's Inner Harbor and right off I-97. You can even take the resident park shuttle into Washington. They offer varied activities like ice cream socials at the pool, ping pong tournaments, flashlight scavenger hunts, and outdoor movies, to name a few. There are 147 back-in or pull-through sites with full hookups and either 30 or 50 AMPs.

Patapsco Valley State Park - This beautiful state park is located just outside of Baltimore along the Patapsco River. It's a natural gem among the nearby urban areas of Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Located just off I-70 and I-695, Patapsco Valley State Park is only 20 minutes from Baltimore's Inner Harbor, and thus only 20 minutes from the Mac and Cheese Festival. The park offers opportunities for fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, mountain biking and much more. There are 70 back-in RV sites that have full hookups and are 30 AMPs. 

WHERE TO STAY

You can find various lodging options close to the Power Plant Live! downtown area of Baltimore. Inner Harbor is a popular tourist destination, and there are many hotels close by. You can choose from Airbnb rentals, hotels, inns and bed and breakfasts. If you're traveling in an RV, consider any of the aforementioned campgrounds. 

HOW TO GET THERE

There are several ways to get to Power Plant Live! From Washington, you would take I-295 into Baltimore. From Philadelphia, you would take I-95. Once in Baltimore, you can take different routes into downtown Baltimore, depending on your parking destination. 

There are many types of public and private transit options, such as Uber, Lyft, taxis, bikes, shuttles, buses, and metro transit. The Baltimore Metro has a line station at the Shot Tower Marketplace, which is within walking distance to Power Plant Live! PARKING

There are many parking choices at your disposal. You can park at the Pier V Garage on 711 Pratt Street or Frederick St. Garage on 15 S Frederick St. Both often offer discounted parking. You can use ParkWhiz to reserve parking at different locations before you arrive, and there is valet parking available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 34 Market Place. TICKETS & PRICING

You can purchase tickets online for the Baltimore Mac and Cheese Festival. The tickets are available for entry only, general admission with food tickets and VIP tickets. If you buy additional food tickets at the event, you will not be able to use cash to do so. They will be using a cashless payment system.
