Nothing helps you get quicker insight into a region and its people than heading to their local fair. You’ll find all kinds of food, crafts, art, and activities that make the people of that area unique. Of course, along with showcasing the state’s traditions, the fair is also home to rides, carnival games, exhibitions, and more. The 50th State Fair features all these things, plus the Amazing Anastasini Circus, the Keiki Hula Competition, and a variety of local entertainers.
The 50th State Fair comes to Aloha Stadium each year for four weekends, beginning Memorial Day weekend and ending in late June. It’s one of the largest annual events in the state, There is a petting zoo for kids, the circus and hula competition, and midway rides including a carousel, the Magic Maze funhouse, bumper cars, a super slide, and Zero Gravity - a high-speed, gravity-defying ride for thrillseekers.
Admission to the fair is 50 credits, or $5, on the Fun Pass - a rechargeable card you swipe to get in and to ride the attractions. You can learn more about how to obtain and reload a Fun Pass here. Kids shorter than 40 inches are allowed in free.
